Renewed Hope

Renee* was struggling financially and with a baby on the way, she knew that she and her husband needed to make a change. A case worker at the clinic she went to told her about Love INC’s Emerge program where she could receive financial education and budget mentoring, and they encouraged her to give Love INC a call to sign up. Renee came to Emerge to learn how to manage her family’s finances and get out of debt, but God was doing something even greater.

When Renee was young, her parents took her to church but she fell away from her faith as she grew up and got married. She had been trying to get her husband to agree on a church to take their kids to, but he was resistant. As she continued to work with her Emerge mentor, she felt like she should be doing her own Bible reading. She budgeted for and bought a Bible and began reading. She loves reading God’s word again and has hope! We pray that she will be able to get plugged into a church very soon.
