God Knows Our Needs

During the recent heat wave, we received a phone call from one of our volunteers. He had a relatively new air conditioning window unit that he no longer needed and wanted to know if we would take that as a donation. Normally, we do not take larger appliances, but, after serving at Love INC for the last 5 years, I (Dan) knew that if someone was offering to donate an item like a nice air conditioner, God must know of someone who needs one. Within a half hour, one of our Connection Center Volunteers received a phone call from a caseworker with another helping agency in town. One of his clients, Molly*, someone we have helped in the past with clothing and furniture, was in desperate need of an air conditioner, and he was hoping that we had one. Within a week, Molly’s caseworker came in to pick up the air conditioner and installed it for her. This is just one more example of how God knows what we need long before we do, and He is faithful to provide.
